About 20 miles from Crescent City, heading south on U.S. 101, there's a parallel scenic byway that runs through the Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park.
It was especially nice when the trees that were turning colors formed arches for us to pass under and marvel at.
Thankfully there were some pull-offs that were large enough for motorhomes so you can stop and walk into the groves a bit.
Just to be able to touch something so massive and ancient is a profound experience.
It can make you feel small, but still so connected and happy to be part of such wondrous creations.
