I
entered the park through the west entrance. From I-5, coming up
Highway 62 East, the first few miles are malls with Safeway, Lowe's,
WalMart, Costco, etc. There are plenty of places along here to shop
and eat. As for gas, don't wait to get out to Crater Lake to get
it - it's much more expensive there. The place that had the best
prices when I was there in the summer of 2005 was the Arco Station
on the right side of the road, about 8 miles from the I-5 intersection.

When
you see the Eagle Point welcome sign look to your right for a great
view of Mt. McLoughlin (9,495 feet)

There are several pull-offs along the way large enough for RVs. I had a little picnic lunch here one day enjoying the sounds of the birds and the water. |

use entry fee: $3.00 - This park has a dump station, but not good
access for larger rigs. Camping is for tents & small trailers
only.
