Indian
Mary Park is
a beautiful Josephine County Park located on the Rogue River along
a scenic stretch of the road that connects the little towns of Merlin
and Galice. There are 91 campsites, 44 with full hookups, 12 with
electric & water only, and 35 for tents only. Fishing, whitewater
rafting and amazing sightseeing jaunts are all available within
a very short distance of the park.
Just the drive to the park is worth the trip!

| A
local friend told me this was her favorite campground and when I first
visited it in June, 2005, a Vintage Airstream Club was having its
rally. You can see pictures of that by clicking here.
|
 |
The
sites are all level and most are heavily shaded. This Airstream
is in site 69 and shows the nice distance between sites. Click
here
for site map. |
|
 |
This
is site 76 and looked like one with the best bet for getting
satellite reception, if that is important to you. |
|
 |
This
is site 91 (even though it says 27E, that's the old numbering
system). This was my favorite section as it backs up to the
Rogue River.

Malia's
2 cents: I
reget I never did manage a stay here, but all the people I talked
to really enjoyed it and gave it rave reviews. It seemed like
it would make a very nice home base for exploring this section
of the wild and scenic Rogue River. |
