Make
sure you check out the registration station before picking your
site. Reservations are accepted 2 days out and expected arrivals
are listed on the white page to the right of the rate sign. |
|
|
One
thing to be aware of, explained a ranger, is that if a reservation
comes in before the site is marked that you paid for it, the reservation
takes precedence and you may have to move if you had planned an
overlapping stay. So be sure to pay quickly!

Loops
A (tents only); D&E (full hookups), F (E/W only). Click
pic for site map. The sites are really large and nice, with
spacious pull throughs available. This one is # D-23. |
|
 |
Right
across the street is site # D-21, an example of a back-in. |
|
 |
This
is the rear yard of Site # D-15, a back-in. There is a beautiful
walking trail that hugs the river nearby. |
|
 |
This
shows a couple of the sites in "F" loop. The rear
sites are a bit further back from the highway here. Strange
that the rates for this loop (E/W only) are the same as those
with full hookups. |
|
| The
ranger explained that the state is in the process of phasing out the
sewer hookups here because the system is old and there is not enough
money to update it properly. |

Malia's
2 cents: How
sad that our state parks are suffering from such a lack of funding
that not only can they not afford to improve them, they are
having to downgrade the services instead. |
