Area
A - (South Campground) - #32 - This is one of the double
sites that has 50 amp service. Not only is this site long enough
for even the largest rigs, it has a gravel pad where a tent can
be pitched, and a picnic table.
Area
C - (North Campground) - Site #95. The campsites are nicely
laid out in a loop around a large grassy area where the stables
are located.
There
are 66 horse stalls equipped with water, electric and ceiling fans.
There are 25 miles of horse trails that begin from this loop. Stalls
are $5/night. What fun it must be to camp with your own horse!
This
park is situated between two scenic lakes, Lake Austell and Lake
Dunn, both about 80 acres in size. Here's a scene from the Lake
Austell boat ramp.
Lake
Dunn boat launch - the light colored space in the inlet to the left
is the swim beach in Area B.
One
of the entries to the Lake Dunn Trail. There are five trails within
the park of varying lengths and degrees of difficulty.
