Following is info and pictures on Cooper’s Hawk Loop at Dead Horse Ranch State Park campground in Cottonwood, Arizona.
See Campgrounds Overview for basic info on differences in loops, etc.
See Brochure & Map for park layout.
27 sites, including two ADA accessible, all with 30/50 amp electric and water. This loop is adjacent to Red-Tail Hawk Loop and there is a path between the two loops. The site facilities and views are about the same. I was in site #99 here and really enjoyed the layout and especially the gorgeous mountain views. $30/night. CampsitePhotos.com has photos of every site. You can see the mountainside town of Jerome and Cottonwood from here.
First loop around with street scene of rows facing mountains. You can see a little of the town of Cottonwood from here (the white dots barely visible here in the valley).
Site #87 is a nice back-in

Here I am in Site #99. I really enjoyed this nice long pull-through with the great view of the mountains from my huge windshield. It was incredibly quiet at night and the amount of stars that could be seen at night were amazing!
Site 101 – I met this nice couple relaxing and enjoying the views here. They said they really appreciated how clean and well maintained the campground is. They also said the reservation call center was great and helped them pick a site that was plenty big enough for them with a nice view.
Sites 108-109 – There are two ADA sites in this loop with raised platforms.
The restrooms/showers building has not been renovated in this loop (or in Red-Tail Hawk) as it has in Quail Loop, and it is showing its age, but it was always really clean whenever I checked. There are soft drink vending machines behind each building in all loops.
