City of Rocks - full hookup sites

Sites E-1 through E-4

Sites E-1 through E-4 are the only ones with full hookups. They are usually occupied by volunteers, but when they are not, the rate is $18/night.  E-1 has 50 amp electric and the others have 30 amp electric.  They are not reserveable online and are first-come, first-served upon arrival at the park, so check at the visitor center for availability.

City of Rocks - Sites E7-8

Sites E-7 and E-8

Sites E-5 through E-10 have 30 amp electric and water hookups at each site.  They each have a covered picnic table on a concrete slab.  The sites are gravel and level. Sites E-7 and E-8 are the only ones that can be reserved online; the rest are first come, first served.

City of Rocks - spacing for sites

Me in Site E-9

This was my home for the time I was here. I really liked the nice spacing between the sites and the covered patio with picnic table.

Every morning when I opened my big windshield shade, I said good morning to the rocks. I sure enjoyed having them as neighbors!

View of my back yard distant mountains

Sometimes when I was hiking among the rocks, I’d catch a glimpse of my motorhome and I loved seeing it waiting for me. It’s the best – staying in parks like this where you can wear yourself out hiking around and then your cozy home is just right there welcoming you!

Transparency/Disclaimer: As stated openly on the Home page, I do barter whenever possible for review space on my website. It’s one of the ways that help support my travel habit and keeps this site free to readers. But I always make it clear that my reviews are my honest opinion, can never be bought at any price and if I wasn’t satisfied, I would also state that (just like I do Pros and Cons on every campground I review, whether it’s bartered or not).
