Entertainment and Activities at the Pavilion
The entertainment and events at the Pavilion are a great part of the fun here. Here are some I really enjoyed.
4th of July Golf Cart Parade
This was great fun to see the campers roll by in their decorated golf carts, waving and throwing treats at the bystanders just like at a Mardi Gras parade!
A short YouTube video of the festivities:
Here’s the site where most of the entertainment and events take place. Besides the seating inside, people pull up lawn chairs, golf carts, or just watch from their nearby RVs.
I was so impressed with the members of this great band from Country Tonite Theatre in Pigeon Forge. I especially appreciated their youth program which allows budding stars this kind of opportunity.
During their trivia questions, I won two tickets to the theatre by answering the question, “Who wrote the song “Crazy” that Patsy Cline made famous?” No way this Texas gal would miss a Willie Nelson question! I’m really looking forward to seeing their full, costumed show!
6 minute YouTube Video of the merriment:
I was absolutely amazed by this guy’s voice and how versatile an entertainer he is. His personal story is interesting and inspiring as well, when his career and Nashville record deal was interrupted by tragedy, and the decisions he made since then. He also performs at the Country Tonite Theatre in the Patty Waskaz Show featuring Oldies from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s.
9 minute YouTube video with me twisting away:
Delicious grown-in-Tennessee watermelons. This got me on such a watermelon kick I buy one every time I go to the store now.
Here I am with Mike Hale, Manager. He and staff are so dedicated to making a stay at this campground an unforgettable event.
Mission accomplished, Mike!
Hamburger/Hot Dog Cookout:
Good food and fun followed by great entertainment – one of my favorite 4th of July events ever!
