Cherokee Landing State Park

Park Hill, OK

Cherokee Landing lake view

September 2006 – I came across Cherokee Landing State Park while on my way back from a day trip to the Cherokee Heritage Center. While I didn’t have time to stay there, I dropped in for a visit with Connie Stockton, the park manager to get the scoop and take pictures. She dropped what she was doing and gave me maps, details and displayed that good ‘ole OK friendliness I’m beginning to become accustomed to!

Cherokee Landing - Site 7
Choctaw area – Site # 7 – what a great view, huh?

There are a total of 92 improved sites – 63 have 30 amps and 29 have 50 amps, indicated by two boxes on the post.  All have water at the site, but no sewer hookups. The park does have 1 dump.

Cherokee Landing - Site 13

Site #13 ain’t bad, either!

Cherokee Landing Site 16

Site #16 nearest the lake; vacant site #14 in foreground.

Cherokee Landing - across from 14

Another view of same area from different perspective to show how sites are configured.

Per their website, most RV sites are first come, first served. Reservations are available for the Choctaw RV Area up to one year in advance (holidays excluded).
