35251 Hwy. 62; Trail, OR (34 mi. from Medford)
May 13, 2005 – I stayed here for three nights in May after a brief visit here a little earlier. It was here that I wrote the little essay about the difference between alone and lonely: Don’t You Ever Get Lonely?
This was my home in B-27. It seemed even longer than what the map said at 60′ long. It is one of the inside loop sites. It also had a great tree where the orioles at my bird feeder kept me amused watching them eat and flit about.
Site B-15. That’s the lake in back. During that time, the only loops open for RVs was the B loop. It is close to the Lost Creek Reservoir, with some sites having views of it from their rears.
Site B-23. According to the map, it is 60′ long and also backs to the reservoir.
Site B-16. According to the map, it is 59′ long.
The trail to the left leads to a nice walk along the lake.
Malia’s 2 cents: It rained 2 out of the 3 days here, but I could still see how beautiful the park is. My friend BJ and I took advantage of the one sunny day we had to walk along the beautiful lakeside trail to the marina where we dined overlooking the water as we watched the iridescent swallows. I would definitely stay here again.
