I decided to spend the two months between my tour of the Blue Ridge Parkway (coming north in summer and going south in the fall) in charming Charlottesville. I was a frequent visitor to the historic downtown mall.
I enjoyed my tour of the home and the grounds of Monticello, so beloved of Thomas Jefferson. It was interesting to see what this important President wrote for his own tombstone.
