September 2007 – I moved to Waynesboro North 340 Campground after my first month-long stay in Charlottesville area at Misty Mountain Camp Resort. I liked it there, but had issues with Internet access that was necessary for me at the time. I wasn’t exactly thrilled about moving, but once I got here, I absolutely loved it! Besides the Internet issue, they were $100/month cheaper and had 50 amp electric service.
This is me in Site #334 which looked to me to be the best of the lot. So many sites here are wooded, but this site and some others along this end were situated so that it pointed through a hole in the trees and I was able to get my rooftop satellite TV here. This site is not paved, but that doesn’t bother me. I really liked the large green grassy space. Across the road was a big pasture with horses that I glimpsed from time to time through the bushes. I really enjoyed the full moon rising over the mountaintop seen from my site, also.
This is the street you go down to get to my site. Some of the sites on this row have cement pads next to the sites.
These sites at the front of the campground are paved but are a bit closer together.
Some of the pull-throughs are super long.
The longer term folks are up on the hill. I met some really nice folks here.

Malia’s 2 Cents: My site was quiet, had lots of space and nice pastoral views. I arrived on Labor day weekend and they had a big party with karaoke and good fellowship. I had a blast and met some really nice people who were my neighbors for the weekend.
Other local tips: About a mile up the road is the little town of Crimora. There’s a little restaurant there named TNT Cafe. It’s in a small complex with the post office, Village Market and Dollar General. From the minute you walk in, you’ll know you’re in a family owned business. Tanya and Linda will greet you like an old friend as you decide if you want the daily special (maybe Carolina style BBQ) or a good ole’ fashioned hamburger, fries and milkshake. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm on Mon-Fri and from 9:30 to 3:00 on Saturday. When you go, tell Tanya and Linda that Malia the RVer says howdy!
